The easiest way to check drive speed is with Copy II Plus 9.1,
and use the Verify/Drive Speed command on the menus. Be sure to
use either a new blank disk, or one you no longer care for.
As far as alignment goes, if you can read any number of original
disks, store-bought we call them here, then I'd be fairly certain
that your Track "0" alignment is good.
