All I did was put a 9 volt battery in it, plugged it in serial port 1 and it worked. AppleWorks 5.1, PublishIt4 and several other programs all recognized it immediately. I can't recall if I had a disk with software on it but, if I did, it must have just been extra utilities as the clock works fine without it.

You set the clock with a switch when you first boot and then turn the switch to the other setting and that keeps the time counting. It time stamps your BAS/BIN/TXT files too as well as date stamping them, if you modify them while running the clock.
There must have been a ProDOS installation program, since the native clock driver won't see a clock on a serial port. Once ProDOS recoginizes a clock, all programs that use the ProDOS time functions will also use it. A custom utility must have also been provided to set the clock, since this is not a standard function. -michael New, faster SUDOKU v2.0 solver for Apple II's!
