Re: For the fun of it
I'm 50.
My first computer usage was writing Fortran programs in 1971 on an old
university VAX system.
My first home computer was an Atari 400 at a small computer kiosk in a
mall in 1978.
My first home computer usage was playing the text adventure, Haunted
House, on a demo TRS-80 Model 1 Level 2 at a local Radio Shack in 1979.
My first in-home computer fun was playing the Coveted Mirror on my
nephew's IIc ROM 255 in 1985 which inspired me to buy my own IIc.
My first purchased computer was my IIc ROM 03 in 1985, which I still use
but it's been since beefed up a bit with a Video 7 digital RGB adapter
running 16 colors to an NEC 3D vga monitor (with low sync ability), an
8mhz ZipChip, a Ram IIc 1mb ramboard, 2 - 3.5" UniDisk drives, an external
5.25 Disk IIc, an external clock IIc, a joystick and a mouse using a
softwitch adapter, a 56k modem, a color IWII with single sheet feeder and
a Sequential Systems CT100c external 100mb hard drive (with 4 - 25mb
partitions).
