Oh, Bill.. that giant horizontal band.. is just from the camera shutter
speed.  That's not the bands I was talking about.

The 2nd band observation is hard to see in these photos.  If you save
photo #3 to your PC, and zoom in, you'll see something like 10-20
vertical lines of alternating blue / black, followed by 10-20 more
lines of no-color white/black lines.   This alteration of
color/no-color is regular across the screen.
