Thanks.
I had originally bought the IIc but returned it when a friend said to get
a Commodore 128 instead so I could trade games with him but the C128 had
too many wires everywhere with too many separate parts in just the basic
system (taking up a whole dining room table) and didn't do, nearly, what
the IIc could do (in such a tiny well-packed space) so I returned the C128
and repurchased my IIc from the dealer again who, luckily, still had it
packed up from my return, all over the course of a couple of days. I've
never regretted buying the IIc and still enjoy it every day.

Incidentally, this line should have read my first home computer 'exposure'
was an Atari 400 which they were selling for $400. (for just the computer
and nothing else) at a kiosk. I didn't buy it (good thing) as I didn't
have the money for it but it piqued my interest in the small home
computer.
