37, first computer used was a C64 in '82. My dad was a teacher in the
neighbouring town. His school bought C64's that summer and had the
teachers take them home to learn about them before the September start.
Later that year my dad bought one of his own.
In high school we had Apples. Not sure what type they were because I
didn't pay attention. My friends and I were C64 elitists and thought
Apples were lame (no flames please, I've since learned the errors of my
ways!). Of course we were into games and the Apples at school all had
monochrome monitors.
I then bought my own computer, a CoCo3, in 1986. That was a very
capable machine but 16 bits soon lured me away a few years later.
I didn't get my first Apple (a IIe Platinum) until '99. Ironically, I
now collect old computers and love my Apple, but don't have (or want) a C64.
