: On the contrary. Here's the deal, Bill: it doesn't take very much
: testing to determine that something doesn't work. Although I figured
: it might take you a while.

All I can say is, I tested it with every configuration available to me, and
I had also sent out cards to other people to beta test, some with ZipGSX
and some with TWGS, but no one came back with negative responses,
plus, no one else has had any negative response either, just you.

: Previous to the installation of your card, my Zip GSX was used in many
: configurations at 13mhz and the TWGS at 15mhz with absolutely no issues
: (see previous post). These are cards that will boot GSOS significantly
: faster than the stable speeds I'm indicating above. The only change in
: the configuration was the use of your card. All other variables had
: been eliminated. Once I installed your card, and realized there was a
: problem, I proceeded to further "lighten the load" by removing my Apple
: HS SCSI card, Microdrive, Uther and Futuresound cards, leaving only my
: Focus, accelerator and your card. Still GSOS would crash upon bootup.
: Only when I downclocked my accelerator, did I get a complete boot with
: the Ram4GS. The same scenario occured when I swapped accelerators.

Let me ask you this, did you try a different set of simms, and was this a
card that I set-up, or one that was bought without simms and setup by
the purchaser? The faster the machine goes, the faster the DRAMs need
to be.

: After removing your card, I evaluated the system with all 3 of my other
: ram cards in order to verify my findings, in all cases I was back up to
: speed. After reinstallation of all of my additional hardware, I was
: crash free as well.

Then maybe my ram card is "not" for you. If you have others you don't
need mine, right?

: Maybe if your card design wasn't so chincy, we wouldn't be having this
: discussion, you would have had something to fall back on. This is
: something you may want to consider next time you decide to leave a few
: chips off here and there. Maybe you'll go that extra mile and spend a
: couple extra nickles to get your card edge fingers gold plated while
: you're at it.

You're right, but I didn't make the ram card for highly skilled hobbyists,
I made it for regular folks who will run their machines in a normal way,
and I still am waiting for someone else to tell me that it doesn't run fine
for them. I wish they would confirm what you are telling me. However,
they haven't.

: In regards to a flame war, I don't thing Usenet has enough bandwith to
: cover the dirt I have on you, so we need not go there. I don't know
: who the other trolls are, frankly I was suprised to see them jump in.
: Clearly, I'm not the only one who dislikes you.

Feel free to dump as much dirt as you like, in private, I will even admit
it if it's true. I've got no qualms about repeating my feelings to anyone.
