I been personally contacted by about 30 people in the past couple months - 
all newbies, or I should say people coming back.  Most have seen my auctions 
from eBay and decided to check out our Website.

Now put yourself in their place - forget everything you know about Apple 
II's since 1990-ish.  You have no idea what's available for the Apple II's 
except what you had remembered.  Unless you spend some time (aka - a LOT of 
time) researching what's available you'd never suspect something like the 
CFFA or MicroDrive.  About 3 times a month I'll get an email from someone 
who says they JUST found our Site.  It's only been up for about nine months 
now, reviewed on a bunch of different Websites, our eBay auctions mention it 
and most searches for Apple II on Google will turn us up.  I just think, as 
with most nostalgia encounters, the bug bites them and their off on a quest. 
It's one of the reasons I'm doing what I'm doing.  The amount of new people 
I had seen last year was starting to amaze me and I bet if I was to start 
polling and tracking people on eBay again the numbers I had would be 
doubled - hence what we would consider 'crazy' prices for some items.

Also to put things in perspective - the average restored 'classic' car will 
be about $15k.  The average arcade game, Pinball or Video, will be about 
$2500.  So $500 for an Apple IIe or IIgs loaded how you like is just a drop 
in the bucket in comparison and probably 100 times less maintenance.

Plus, you guys are just cheap! ;-)
