As others have mentioned, using google can help you find what you need.
AFAIK, there is not an emulator based CD although there are CD's available
with a variety Apple II software. Some of these may have free use emulators
on them.

You didn't specify which type of computer or OS you would run the emulator
on. In my personal experience, KEGS, a 2GS emulator, can run in Linux, Mac
and Windows environments. The source comes with the emulator. There are
others such as XGS and Bernie (mac only). IIRC, Bernie is a closed program
and XGS was never fully developed.

8 bit emulators may seem more abundant but many are not finished and can be
difficult for extended usage and some are OS specific. Several have source
code available. One version on the PC running in Dos mode works very well,
ApplePC 5.2.It has no source but it has devent functionality and the
graphics function well. Another PCDos based emulator called DApple which
works similar to applepc with some obvious enhancements.

Windows has several 8 bit GUI based emulators including;
        Applewin        free use        (C) source available            active development
                this one is being expanded by devoted users on the web.

        WinApple        free use        (Delphi) source availible       possible
                port of AppleWin to Delphi. Ported verion is slightly old.

        AIPC            free use        (C) source available            none currently
                a nice emulator with some slot/card emulation. nice graphics
                for a windows program. Some downsides, configuration can be
                a little tedious which should be fixed and add some shortcut
                for common functions.
        
        Oasis           shareware       no source available.            author available
                by email. This an excellent emulator with many configuration 
                option. mouse and keyboard interface. Keyboard shortcuts available
                for most functionality.

AFAIK, this is the pick of the lot and you might find having multiple
emulators. I find that KEGS, OASIS, AppleWin to be my most often used
programs.

If you are running a PC, you might want to try CiderPress. An excellent
utility for manipulating disk images and the files on them.
