Apple RGB experiments I'm doing now.   I have a digital RGB.

Converting digital RGB to analog RGB is pretty much a passive affair,
involving only resistive voltage dividers.  If you add in some of the
digital Intensity signal, you can get 16 colors.

Worst case, something is the wrong polarity and an opamp is needed.

I just want to stress that changing the format of video signals without
changing their timing is *much* simpler than changing timing, and is
usually just a simple analog circuit.
