Master Diagnostics was a popular one... I remember it having fairly
extensive testing for disk drives and memory...

A library of card identifier code would be a good thing to start,
though. Combined with David's CPU identifier routines, plus model
identification code, it'd be really handy.

Beep codes sound a little old-school for me... how about somebody
adapting a phoneme set to Michaels DAC522 and having the machine speak
back it's configuration?
