I don't know how you would do "multi-node" with an Apple II.  Even if you 
put multiple serial cards in it, the OS & BBS Software doesn't multi-task...

People who like their Apples, like them as stand-alone boxes. They run their 
old programs and play the old games, but I don't think Proterm gets much 
use, other than transferring files back & forth between the Apple & PC. 
Those with Ethernet Cards will surf & chat, but it's a novelty.  Calling an 
old-style BBS just doesn't hold anyone's interest.
