Yes, but vitally important to them. :-) I suppose there is a path from
bare metal to 5.25" bootable DOS 3.3, to a ProDOS 5.25" image, to 3.5"
ProDOS capable ADT.

I agree. And one can get working independently of the other - i.e.
ProDOS 800k-capable ADT is a separate development effort from the
bootstrapping exercise.
