I don't recall off-hand, but you might take a look at the part number
of the mouse... if it starts with an M then it should work with the
Mac, if it starts with A2 then it's an Apple II mouse and that might be
the source of the problem...

Trying really hard to think back a few years, I think the problem I had
was trying to use a Mac mouse on a IIc, so I might be barking up the
wrong tree here.
