Here's an update on my customer. I tried putting together a small AM
transmitter to put beside his printer, so he could monitor it on a
cheap AM radio, but I wasn't able to get the transmitter to work.
Today, I was resigned to head to Radio Shack and get a wireless
microphone he could use instead, and monitor on an FM radio, when I
passed the Goodwill store. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I went
inside. Lo and behold, there was a working Fisher Price baby monitor
for five bucks. Got it and went home instead of Radio Shack. Put
batteries in it to make sure it worked, which it did. One problem
solved. Now all I have to do is pay him a visit and see about his
printer head. Thanks again for all the helpful advice. With any luck,
I'll actually be able to afford to go to the movies tomorrow. ;-)
