Re: Bonjour questions

No, I think that's the right place for it...
... because Apple is the manufacturer of the software.

An even better idea is to go to the Apple Web site and
look in the Discussion fora or Support sections for
iTunes at:

http://www.apple.com/support/

People do often respond to cries for help there. Good luck!

So if I have ITunes installed on Windows, and the Bonjour service is installed, which advertises everything, what do I do if I go to a hotspot

If I install a Bonjour-enabled printer in my office, how do I keep it from
showing up on everyone else's list of available printers? I don't want the
whole building to see my printer.
None of Apple's marketing blurbs about how great Bonjour is for sharing
everything under the sun say anything about how to not share stuff once
Bonjour is installed.

comp.sys.apple2 is an Apple II newsgroupe, not a Macintosh newsgroups.
Somebody can probably answer your question on comp.sys.mac (FU2 set).

Well, I'm not so sure a Mac group is the best place to ask about using
Apple software under _Windows_, that's probably asking for more tar and
feathers.
If you search Google Groups for "apple" (note: iTunes/iPod are _not_
Macintosh branded products) then CSA2 is the first non-mac-specific group
that is listed.

Still, it's a bit lame to post to a group without first finding out what
it's about.
