The Intel Macs will pass the Windows qualification tests?I don't think so, but a virtual PC will do the trick and will run much faster than before (before = G5, G4, G3 era) as the x86 code is now native code : it doesn't have to be interpreted (emulated) as before. <http://ilovemymacthesong.com/page3/page3.html>
True story:I was over at my employer's house yesterday evening, helping him mount his DLP projector in his home theater. I was also there to make sure all his home computers were up to date, weren't about to explode etc.
A year ago, I had talked him into try out a 20" iMac 1.8 - while I was there, he said he "loved that machine" because it just worked and did things the way he liked it and it was easy. He's never regretted buying it, and has since bought a couple if iPods for himself and his kids.
At home, he also has a top of the line Dell 3.0GHz machine that he uses for office work from home. At work, he has a 2.0GHz Toshiba laptop. Both run XP Pro. He's never said he loved either one of those - and complains that they aren't as reliable as his Mac.
I know dozens of people like him.
