Re: SWIM Chip replacement for PCTransporter



Hey Randall.

All I have is the SWIM IC's.  As there does seem to be some debate at the 
whether the SWIM will work or not, I would recommend we add a surface-mount 
socket.  I have added one to my SuperDrive controller, which is how I test 
SWIM IC's.  It's an easy process, assuming the user has the right tools.

I also have a PC Transporter.  What you could do is send me the card and 
I'll add the SMT socket and SWIM IC.  If you want to also purchase the other 
PC Transporter just make an offer.  I could ship both units back at the same 
time.  I think I also have a 5.25" drive for the PC Transporter too.

The socket, SWIM and work would be about $20 USD.  Shipping would probably 
be about $25 USD.

Just an idea.
