If anyone can figure out how the "AY" music format works, I'm happy to
get any details.  So far, I've figured out it has header information
about the song and then a block of (explecitive) binary code and
intermingled song data.  So an AY player is a glorified Spectrum
emulator.

Can anyone confirm this?  I'd like to convert some speccy tunes over to
my new driver format to test it out.  It should give me the time I need
to create a decent music editor program.  I've looked at existing AY
music editors, and decided I don't like them.  (I'm a mod-musician gone
to more advanced things like Buzz.  Let's say that I have a few crazy
ideas and leave it at that)
