     Ralph,

               The easiest to fix the problem you are at now is to get
your self a Mac OS (System Software) CD (or disks) to reformat the
computer and put on a new system.

      Most likely At Ease is in stalled and is what you are seeing. 
Depoending on what Mac OS that is installed you can boot up with no
extendtions.  Turn on your Mac by holding the shift key down, then you
should get to the finder.  If it has Mac OS 7.5 or higher installed you
can go to the extention manager.  A list of Control panels and
extentions will come up.  Uncheck At Ease control panel and extention.

   Again depending on what was installed, that's how you can get around
the passowrd stuff until you can get a Mac OS CD (or disks).
