It's been a while since I looked in any detail at Magic Window files,
but there's a pretty good chance that they are "almost" text files.

If you can read them in CiderPress, then just export them as PC text
files (perhaps with CR --> CR/LF conversion).  That way you can back
them up as you wish, and put off cleaning up the format until you
have a reason to look at particular files.
