I don't think an A2 can connect via AppleTalk to an OSX server, but you
could probably get Contiki to connect via http or maybe telnet.

You should be able to do this by running netatalk on OSX. I havepersonally used it under Linux on both Intel and Alpha boxes with noparticular problems.
