"Ping" on a relay computer would actually ping...  ;)

One of the most interesting things I read while reasearching relay
computers is that a relay computer could have existed as early as 1850.
 Instead the first one was constructed in 1935.  It really makes you
think what amazing discoveries have been right in front of us for
years.  Maybe warp engines are in our kitchens???  :D  Its a known fact
that your microwave can make you time travel, its just hard fitting
inside it and the return trip tends to boil you...  ;)
