Apple IIe Games Came On 3.5" Disks?

While digging through some old games I picked up at a flea market I
found something odd. I open up a copy of Rampage and it had a 3.5"
disk inside. I looked at the label on the box and it said it was for
the Apple II+/IIe/IIc/IIgs in IIe emulation mode (the standard label of
Apple games post IIgs). I assume this means that the game will run on
an Apple IIe with a 3.5" drive. Since I don't have a 3.5" disk
controller card for my IIe, I can't test this, but I assume it will
work. The game is definetly in IIe mode, no IIgs enhancements at all
(still, it's not a bad port).

I find it odd that they would put anything other than a IIgs specific
game on a 3.5" disk. I didn't notice any marking on the package that
indicates it contains a 3.5" disk either. If I had an Apple IIe and
picked this game up I would have been ticked off. I compared the box
to my other Rampage box which contained a 5.25" disk and they're
identical.

Does this mean that there were technically Apple IIe games released on
3.5" disks? I assume they were meant for the IIgs, but I don't see any
reason they couldn't run on a IIe with a 3.5" drive. Were there any
other IIe games released on 3.5" disk?
