Re: Wikipedia -- expanding Apple II presence with new articles

I've become increasingly interested in the Wikipedia site lately (for
those unfamiliar it's an online encyclopedia that anyone, even anonymous

information there is, is rather limited compared to other platforms.

For that reason I thought I'd contribute a few articles. I started by writing a entire article (from scratch) on the Apple IIe just before Christmas as a kind of experiment. Here's the link:

I'm planning to add articles on all the other Apple II model's and then maybe do some major editing of the existing "Apple II Family" and IIgs articles. The only disadvantage is it's opened to potential vandalism, poor outside editing and misinformation. In any case, if people here think it's a good idea I'll go for it. At the very least I hope it's useful to new users and collectors out there.

Mitchell,

Glad you're interested. I've also taken an interest in Wiki and added some articles (some Apple II, some not).

One I added about the Apple II:

It looks like someone went in and edited some of what I wrote (thanks). If some folks here on comp.sys.apple2 want to put in a few articles, we should be able to get a fairly significant Apple II section up.
