I got a IIGS with a Hard Drive (System 6.0.1) loaded on Slot 7.. The IIGS boots and runs fine. But I want to use my DOS 3.3 stuff... I am not sure how to do it.
Best way in my opinion is to press the 8 key during boot of GSOS to have it load BASIC. This will stop the computer with a ']' prompt where you can type commands. Type 'PR#6' and press enter to boot form the 5.25" diskette.
How do I get it into regular IIe mode?
The IIgs really _is_ a 128k IIe unless you boot GS/OS and are running GSOS software. (Rare for me.)
Someone wrote a BASIC program specifically designed for the IIgs to boot into ProDOS under BASIC that allows you start your IIgs with a menu to select what you want. Boot 5.25", boot 3.25" boot GSOS, drop to BASIC... Let me know if you'd like the procedure and I'll find it and post it online. My IIgs does this but I am also running several versions of GSOS so I have the right drivers for specific tasks and do not load the drivers when I don't need them.
