Okay, it might take me even longer than I thought.  It looks like the
Windows build was done using MinGW but just figuring out what I need
to download and install to use it is going to take me a few days.

I have had some experience using Watcom so I downloaded Open Watcom
but I haven't even figured out what the main source file for KEGS is.
Then the header files probably aren't compatible either.

Perhaps I've been spoiled by my development environment of choice
lately but this seems way more complex than it needs to be.
