Alright, but that confuses me - why on earth
would anyone want to use a Vulcan controller UNLESS they want to either keep
their Vulcan setup in it's original condition, or if it's the only controller
they have (or can get)? The Vulcan controller, even with Gold, is a slow and
clunky proposition. It's drive table is seriously constraining, and it's not
even 100% IDE compatible. Yah it was great back in the day...
I can "get it" if a collector is keeping his
system intact. Heck, I'll admit the Vulcan power supply is actually pretty
darn good... I have a Vulcan ea in one my IIe and GS machines - but only
because they're theme machines. I've called them the Applied IIGS and Applied
IIe - sort of a pun play on Apple and Applied Engineering... anyway, those
machines have nothing but AE parts in them. Otherwise, I wouldn't use a Vulcan
controller for anything.
