I would try bending the pins of the Trans_2_CPU cable out. Do it
slowly, maybe use a knife or something to gently spead out the pins
(you can compare the angle to a new chip). Even a little speading may
stop the glitching. Normally it is *tough* to pull the cable off the
socket (need to use a tool or knife to wedge in between the seperating
parts). It sounds way too loose to me, and that will definately lower
reliability.
Again, go slow as there is risk of damage. If you can get a new cable I
might order one and try spreading the pins while waiting for the new
cable. AFAIK the cable between card and CPU has been a source of
problems for Zip and Transwarp users.
