I would try bending the pins of the Trans_2_CPU cable out. Do it

stop the glitching. Normally it is *tough* to pull the cable off the
socket (need to use a tool or knife to wedge in between the seperating
parts). It sounds way too loose to me, and that will definately lower
reliability.

Again, go slow as there is risk of damage. If you can get a new cable I
might order one and try spreading the pins while waiting for the new
cable. AFAIK the cable between card and CPU has been a source of
problems for Zip and Transwarp users.

Well, I bent the pins somewhat... put it back in and got a nice checkerboard pattern appon turning it on.. I suppose I coulda fliped the monitor on it's back and played chess.

So I took it out and did it a little more... this time it started up ok... still can't get sis to search google without crashing after hiting the search button. I dunno if it's a sis/marrenetti problem or an unstable accelerator problem.... but I used to be able to use google with sis.

....

I just tried loading SIS after writing that and this time it locked as soon as it loaded.
