Applied Engineering made a "heavy duty" power supply
that had a higher amperage output.
Do your GS a favor and wire up a PC power supply
for it (external). You will solve power AND heat
problems (random crashes and interrupts)
Sean F. mentioned in another thread that Apple Inc.
required a fan in a IIgs with 2 or more interface cards
installed. My IIgs started getting flakey, I installed
a fan and external power supply. Works like it
should now. No phantom icons. No garbage windows.
No random crashes.
A IIgs with power problems will cause you to want to
give up on it. It makes you think the hardware is
failing.
