You should probably use 99% isopropyl alcohol (a/k/a isopropanol) or
99% methyl alcohol (a/k/a methyl-hydrate or methanol). Anything less
than 99% can leave residue. (Some people have had trouble finding 99%
isopropyl; I found mine at Safeway supermarket.)
Not too important for scrubbing a case, but a medium-sized bottle will
last a long time for most people, and it's nice to be able to use it for
more delicate operations.
