i gather this will work with the metal/fv hd i got back from you with the
right metal version?

i will also need (eventually) on what to set in the metal/fv end for it to
see this device (standard modem/null modem whatever)...

but if i get that far ..and the setup i got from you matches ..you can prob
just walk me thru it

fun...fun...i'll look at the www site and the docs...

if you are really really feeling generous....you could add a www link to
your www boycot page..and diagram the cable box arrangement there ...with
links to these recomended eithernet to serial devices you know or think will
work in this manner..and maybe toss up a bare (user base deleted) version of
your boycot setup in a .zip format that people could get and place on a hd
(like the one i sent you and got back) and then the info is out there ..and
not just knocking around the newsgroup

then with that info someone could add it to the comp.sys.apple2.faq and
you'd only have to do this 1x...not more then 1x if others besides me muck
about and bug you about it

i'll get the docs and look it over and see how far i get ...i have next
weekend off i'll try to get something going then
