Absolutely. Integer performance is all that matters for the vast
majority of desktop consumer applications (games might be an exception,
these days).

Hi,
Everyone buys the greatest, newest hardware to play games.
A previous Elsa reseller told me years ago that "everything changes in
6 months" on gfx chip business. To this point, his remark was true.
Will Apple computer user (mactel) go , buy the latest non branded , top
of the line Nvidia chip AGP gfx card , install it to his desktop and it
will run?
No.
If it doesn't happen, changing to Intel has no point.
Hate or not, guy currently goes to some Nvidia site or his "super"
Taiwan oem manufacturer site, downloads the latest driver (if not built
into dx already) and launches his overkill game. Sadly its the power of
Windows. This capability makes windows emperor of desktop OS but same
time, it makes the system unstable.
Nobody still doesn't care, they don'T buy iMac G5 right now, they won't
buy Mactel iMac because "it doesn't do games"
It was never price of damn chip.
