Everything should be in DSK or NIB.

That does NOT mean that everything cannot *also* be in SHK / SDK or whatever
else (e.g. 2MG).

They are NOT mutually exclusive.

Exactly, and there is hardly a point in doing this "virtually". So, let's
look to the future - to a time when no Apple ][ computers will be working or
a few that will be left will be in museums or in guarded private
collections - and prepare for this day. DSK and NIB are the best format.

There you go, on the attack again.

What about getting the SHKs / SDKs onto a real Apple ][ ?? Null modem
cables, ADT, a working Apple 2, some spare desk space, etc are all required.
So, like I said to work with SDKs and SHK's on a real Apple 2 can be a real
pain.

Errr, what about extracting SHK's / SDKs when they are on a disk with
limited space ?

What about extracting a SHK of ProDOS files onto a DOS 3.3 disk ? What
about extracting a SHK of DOS programs on a ProDOS disk ? Some DOS programs
don't like running on ProDOS disks. It's not always easy to tell what OS to
use before extracting the files.

This all makes SHKs / SDK's a pain to use, imho.

Got any more lame arguments for me to blow out of the water ???

All the best,
