Heh, I'm not as close as I thought I was.  I have GSShrink (SDK), ShrinkIt 
(SDK), and Binscii.exec (text).  Of course, they're all type $00.  

I found out I cannot just BLOAD,T$00,A$xxxx,Lyyyy.

So, being clever, I realized that my ProDOS 8 Technical Reference Manual 
still had the 5.25" ProDOS Exercisor program.  I'll just use that as a 
rudimentary type changer, right?  I used GET_FILE_INFO ($c4) followed by 
SET_FILE_INFO ($c3) to change to a $04 type.

Didn't work.  CAT shows it as TXT.  But I still get an invalid file type 
error (or whatever it was).  I still cannot BLOAD it either.  Aargh - what 
else do I need to do?

I did find out that if I "CREATE TEXTFILE,TTXT" and then "BSAVE 
TEXTFILE,TTXT,A$xxxx,Lyyyy" I get a genuine text file that can be executed.   
The only thing I can think of is to write a little program to load the 
BINSCII.EXEC file into memory at some fixed address and then do the 
CREATE/BSAVE trick.  I just need to open ($c8), read ($ca), and then close 
($cc) the file to some predetermined address (like $1000).

It's not terrible, but there has got to be a better way!   )-:
