I tried them all with Acrobat 4.0 and Acrobat Reader 5.1 before
uploading and after you moved them to a download folder and
they all worked fine.

If you download via "Copy to folder" command from this link,

ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/2/apple2/

then the files are fine, but from http:// they aren't. Some of them anyway.
