But it does support diskdrives - real ones. Loading from IDE drives
will be implemented when Jeri's finished with the DTV core.
And yes, the C1 is only for early adopters right now - that's why they
are sold as beta boards. The HW is done, but the cores aren't.

Actually, more like 1.5-2x as fast as a 1 MHz 6502.

While I would agree that the CPC OS is more modern than the C64's, I'd
hesitate to do so when it comes to the hardware. It has twice the
memory bandwidth for video, but it lacks sprites and hw scroll, and
the video addressing is a bit wonky. Calling the Z80 a more modern
design than the 6502 is also a bit of a stretch - the 6502 came out in
1975, and the Z80 in 1976, but was a clone of the 8080 which came out
in 1974.
