I would like to point out that .d64 images are for use on _emulators_, and
are not for use on the "Real Thing"(tm) C64.    ;-)

Although .d64 images can be used directly on a _software_ C64 emulator, the
fact that they can not be used directly on a _hardware_ C64 emulator is an
indication that the C64 core is closer to the "Real Thing"(tm) than some of
the software emulators.

The reason I used the term "directly" above is that software is available for
the C64 that enable it to either create .d64 disk images, or dissolve them.
