They will work but since the media inside the 1.44 meg floppy takes twice
the magnetic strength to magnetize it, the data may not last as long.  the
smae thing happens when you try and use 720K disks in a 1.44 meg drive and
use them at 1.44 meg.  The high density recording on the media will cause
bleeds and the data will not last either.
