Prodos MLI buffer $DC00

Which memory bank contains the $DC00 buffer area used by Prodos MLI ?
Do i need to use soft-switches to write to that buffer?
If yes, what are the soft switch combinations  to write to that buffer with
data and move back to normal memory configuration.
