I think I've cured the RamFAST - I won't know until it's been off for some
time, but I removed the card and cleaned the connectors, discovering an
astonishing amount of gunk. I also noticed that one cache chip was -10, one
was -70. I found my old Amiga 600 had a RAM expansion with 8 matched Intel
256x4 DRAMs, all -70ns, so I pinched two off that. Still want some 1Mbx4s
though ;)
The Music Studio bug is catching. Though - it did run just fine once, which
is odd - I removed the Introplay init by dragging it to the desktop, which
didn't seem to actually remove it at all, but that time, the software
worked. Removing it fully, it didn't work.
Wolfenstein has also started crashing - the instant you press a key it locks
up. Both can be reproduced and seem unaffected by other things - the TWGS is
happy and everything else is running just fine.
Last time I put GUPP in the system it locked up when I quit applications.
Any other suggestions?
Richard
