The sort of connectors they sell in electronics shops here have a clamp
around the edge of the D-shell - it protrudes and reduces the depth of the
connector when used in something like the Iigs which has a D shell shaped
opening in the back panel, rather than just a rectange large enough to cover
the mounting screws, holes and an area around them.
