I think you hit the nail on the head. On close inspection it looks like my
80 column card does contain 64k. So I take it that my mainboard has 64k
meaning i have 128k in total. Sorry if I sound incredibly dumb here.

I have an original Monitor /// (phoshpor type green monitor) and 4 disk
][s. Pictures are available at http://www.aliross.co.uk/museum if you are
interested - but I think it is one of the most beautiful retro pieces of
kit there ever was. No denying that the GS is a wonderful machine, but
it's a completely different beast.

I have one final thing to say: "I love my Apple //" ;)
