Heh Bill,

  You're missing the point.  I'm getting a kick out of watching
the Apple II dutifuly type in the textfile / program as sent by
hyperterminal.  Bear with me here, lol it's quite a hoot for me
to watch it during the transfer! - And yes, I do amuse easily.

As for GS/OS - Gasp - I have a Rom 01 IIgs sitting in the
corner, but the serial comm duties are handled by my
Platinum IIe.

"Hector" runs the following:

Aux Slot - 80Col/64k Card
Slot 2 - Apple Super Serial Card (Home of the Apple Serial net!)
Slot 4 - Apple Mouse Interface card
Slot 6 - Apple Disk Controller card
Slot 7 - R&D Automation CFFA w/ 128MB compact flash card

And hopefully someday: Slot __ Apple Graphics Tablet Card. :)

I wrote a couple of (really lazy man's) basic programs to handle the
PR#2 and IN#2 statements for me.  'logging' into it reminded me
so much of a IRC client server that I threw together a "welcome."

Freely adapting the VAX/VMS 'LO' - or Logout command and
making one for LI or Login instead of hitting return twice like you'd
do on a VAX.

Although it's a toss up as to which system is logging into which - LOL
I have to do the "-LI" on the Apple side with my PC already running
Hyperterminal and I can then effect the "-LO" on the PC side, to
disconnect the Apple from hyperterminal... It would be a major
inconvenience if these systems were really far apart though! :)

Anyhow, if anyone wants a disk image of the textfile aka game,
let me know and I'll post it to my website and leave a link here
in CSA2!
