The All Electronics LBAT-40 looks ideal for the ROM-00/01 model. The
1.6" leads can be springyfied by wrapping about half an inch on a large
needle. Then the leads will be easy to slip onto the cut off leads from the
original battery.
The ROM 3 battery holder seems to require what's called a "1/2 AA" size
battery. Replacement is easier than for the ROM-00/01; but, you're limited to
a particular size, which makes it harder to find good deals at surplus
places.
