Good information but before doing that I'd just try putting a jumper on
the J19 pins located at about B-14 on the motherboard. All the Canadian
IIe I've looked at have had another keyboard layout in ROM, whether they
had a switch or not. I used to disable that switch on any IIe I sold.
Since I was listed in the help section of our newsletter I got umpteen
calls from people that accidentally tripped that switch and thought
their IIe was dying
