Hi everyone. I've sent Bill $3. I checked him out before 
sending it and also came across info on Vince Briel. You 
guys are amazing! Keep up the good work.

I have another question. I think there may have been an 
electrical connection made between 2 of the pins on the old 
6502 I'm replacing, because of corrosion. What are the odds 
that some of my ROM chips are fried because of it? The last 
time I turned the ][ on the screen filled completely with 
some kind symbol (@ marks?). I'm not going to turn it on 
again until I replace the 6502. When I first turned it on 
there was what I think was a machine language prompt (*). 
There was a language card installed. I couldn't get the 
keyboard to type anything. I turned it off and turned it on 
again and had the same Apple ][ at the top, the * prompt, 
and some garbage on the screen. The third time I booted I 
got the screen filled with those marks.

Of the three 6502 pins that were bad, two were so corroded 
that they were just not there anymore. It looked like rust. 
The socket looks like it just needs some cleaning.
