In the latter 80s I was a Mac guy and picked up a demo unit Hyperdrive
FX40 for my Mac Plus.  After I got tired of replacing the Mac's power
supply, I traded the beast for a GS.  The HyperDrive worked fine with
GS/OS and the manufacturer supplied the drivers.  For a while I was able
to run the drive on either machine with a cable swap - no reformatting,
and the file systems worked fine.

Bummer I let that system go to my ex-wife in the divorce, but I needed
the car and she was addicted to Crystal Quest and Rogue ;)
