Don't know if it applies to magazines, but in one case I've seen the
copyright holder change with software.

One such Amstrad CPC magazine I know took quite a bit of time for
someone to actually get the permission from Future Publishing in order
to post the material. So perhaps other Future magazines (like Commodore
Format) could have the same done (if it hasn't been done already), but
I'd go to Future Publishing first.
