Private piracy may be easier now, maybe even harder to catch and harder to
stop.
But if somebody goes out and tries to make money or broadcast or reuse the
materials (as on a website, etc) .. or simply brags too much for their own
good at the wrong time and place, there's nothing particularly hard about
catching or prosecuting that.. regardless of any of the technologies
mentioned above.
What usually lacks is the motivation to focus on and pursue such matters by
the bulk of regular law enforcement agencies.. as opposed to pursuing
druggies, rapists, thieves, killers, drunken drivers and such. Also not
much interest by the press to cover law enforcement efforts. But there are
units working .. and catching pirates and other computer criminals.
